PR is Dead, Communication is In

Let’s qualify that, just a bit. PR as commonly used (the placement of client news in the media) is dead–just as traditional media outlets are transforming and usage trends indicate that folks are forging an entirely new way to consume media.

As a cultural communications firm, we spend a lot of time looking at and analyzing people’s behavior, and what we’ve found out about people today is startlingly different than the 20th century.

Art/Design Event: dreamSCAPE a success

Our personal spaces do indeed reveal quite a bit about ourselves. In November 2009, when we took up the curatorial reigns for dreamSCAPE, a phenomenal event that merged fine art, design and furniture, at LOOK Gallery at the L.A. Mart Design Center, designers, artists, buyers and well-dressed looky-loos  turned out en masse.

…and judging by the media reaction, people (such as our friends at Apartment Therapy) really liked it! Check out more images at the event site.

Also, watch out for the Mediterranean’s (well, the Adriatic to be exact)  newest playground: Montenegro. Artist Cal Lane plasma torches a de-comissioned military submarine into a delicate lace as part of Porto Montenegro development, Southern Europe’s newest travel destination.
